Personalized Primary Care
Caring and easy to talk with, Dr. Tondera spends time with his patients and gets to know them. Visiting his clinic is like going to see a family friend, yet this family friend can diagnose acute and chronic illness, treat it with prescription medicine, counsel you nutritionally, and relieve musculoskeletal pain with trained and experienced manipulation. Dr. Tondera’s patients also benefit from his interest in investigating the underlying cause of disease, which he considers to be a “critical role in whole-patient care.”
“Patients with high cholesterol, for example, may not tolerate the side effects of statin drugs or would prefer to avoid the risks and unwanted side effects of those medications. I take the time to listen and dig deeper to find more options for my patients,” Dr. Tondera said. “Lifestyle, nutrition and fitness can often make a significant difference, decreasing the dependency on prescription drugs.”
As a family nurse practitioner, Dr. Tondera sees patients for everything from school physicals, annual exams to allergy and chronic disease management including high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and diabetes.
