Work History
Tondera Chiropractic: As a doctor of chiropractic from December 1992-present. This includes examinations, performing and reading x-rays/MRI’s/CT scans and physical medicine modalities. Report writing including impairment ratings (approved doctors list II – Texas Workers’ Compensation Commission. Peer review reports, 2nd opinions and independent medical examinations. Perform Department of Transportation examinations (DOT). As a Diplomate in Nutrition, Dr. Tondera performs consultations, recommendations and evaluations for a wide variety of clinical conditions from a nutritional perspective. In October 2006, Tondera Chiropractic’s assets were purchased by Dr. Eric Tondera and subsequently moved to 2600 S. Gessner, Suite 300, Houston, Texas 77063. Dr. Tondera has recently returned to school and has graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing from Harin-Simmons University in June 2009 and was licensed as a Registered Nurse in September 2009. He continued his educational endeavor at Samford University a t the Ida V. Moffett School of Nursing and graduated again with his Masters of Science in Nursing in May 2011.
He is also licensed with the State of Texas as a Registered Nurse in September 2009. Dr. Tondera passed his National Boards for Family Nurse Practitioner in June 2011 and subsequently licensed as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner – Family Practice specialty. His clinical rotations and residency were completed with Dr. Jeffrey Alford (family practice) at Sweetwater Medical Associates and Dr. Karen Richardson and Ian Smalling, FNP (emergency mediciint/family practice) at Oak Bend Regional Hospital Hospital Emergency Department, Obstetrics/Gynecology with Dr. Kesha Robetrson, Obstetrics/Gynecology with Belinda Isley FNP, Pediatrics with Dr. Laura Hogarth and General Surgery/Cosmetic with Dr. Ronald Buczek. Dr. Tondera has worked PRN status at Intracare North Hospital asa Registered Nurse to maintain his basic nursing skills since 2009.
In October 2012, Dr. Tondera moved his clinic to 1201 Dairy Ashford, Suite 118 merging with Dr. Susan Vogel (internal medicine) and Dr. John P. Ott (internal medicine) for a group practice. Dr. Tondera has continued his education being certified to perform joint injections, Botox/Dermal-fill injection therapy. Dr. Tondera was employed by OakBend Medical Center Emergency Department as a mid-level provider practicing emergency medicine from October 2011 through March 2012 where he decided to stop and concentrate on his private family medicine/chiropractic practice. He has continued to practice at this location currently, but independently from Dr. Vogel and Dr. Ott. He is currently still practicing chiropractic along with the added advantages in the role as family nurse practitioner.
